Let’s kick 2022 off right – with a brand new website!
Our old website was neat, but times have changed since we first launched in 2014.
We have now transitioned the Aus3D store from OpenCart 2.3.0.2 to Shopify!
Bringing better performance, more mobile-friendly features, and a better overall customer experience, we are excited to finally launch the new website that has been in the works for several months now.
Here are a few of the highlights:
Better Search
Website search is now significantly improved – it’s faster, searches as you type, and delivers better match results. It’s also better at searching in product descriptions.

Better Images
All product images are now bigger! We also have improved zoom-on-hover, and if that isn’t enough for you, just click on the image to open an even bigger preview. This is great for products that have drawings, schematics or diagrams.
Faster Pages
Our new website has been streamlined for speed, and is significantly more responsive than the old one. Excellent!
Better Mobile Performance
The old website was desktop-first, mobile-second. Let’s face it – some things just didn’t work perfectly on mobile. Our new website is mobile-friendly from the ground up!
Back-in-stock Notifications
All out-of-stock products now have the option for you to register to be emailed when back in stock. We partially had this on the old website, but it only worked for products without any options (e.g., hotends with different voltage options didn’t allow this). We now support restock notifications on all products!
Easier Checkout
Our new checkout has fewer fields to fill out than the old one. We also have auto-complete on shipping addresses, making it easier to enter your details. Great!
More Payment Options
Alongside PayPal payments, we now can also accept direct credit/debit card payments. Handy if you don’t want to use PayPal’s payment gateway.
